AIS 4070 Public and Nonprofit Admin

Final Team Infographic

I learned more in depth about nonprofits through the course and the steps of creating and navigating to maintain a NPO. I also learned more about stakeholders and leadership. I learned how to be more confident in volunteering for the NPO that I am currently with and the work that is involved in a NPO. Developing a nonprofit with a team supported public and non-profit organizational designs, decision-making and communication strategies, budgetary and funding aspects (government and grant funding sources and strategies), as well as the use of commercial and social marketing for public and non-profit programs and organizations course concepts.

The development of the Infographic helped demonstrate the following course outcomes:

  • Describe and use current definitions and terminology related to public and non-profit administration.
  • Describe public and non-profit organizational designs. Describe the systematic approach to managing quality public and non-profit administration programs and organizations.
  • Discuss the characteristics of the supervisor’s key to influencing others to achieve desired results. Discuss how supervisors, with others, establish desired results and conceptualize means for accomplishing goals.
  • Identify decision-making and communication strategies for effective supervision of staff and community workers.
  • Discuss the budgetary and funding strategies unique to public and non-profit organizations, including government and grant sources and strategies.
  • Discuss the use of commercial and social marketing strategies to facilitate community engagement for public and non-profit programs and organizations.

The final infographic that myself and my team have created is all about Animal Shelters and rescuing cats and dogs. We created a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) by the name of Hope For All Rescues. After working with my team, I am now more confident in creating and developing a NPO. This was a great learning experince and opportunity. I have learned the process and the steps to creating a NPO and I really enjoyed the hands on learning of this infographic with my team. Below is a PDF file of the final infographic that myself and my team (Krislyn, Burkhardt, Jessica Charleville, Heather Wiegele) have created.
